Welcome to the BHS Ergonomic Assessment Test (BEAT). This test is designed to inform you about the importance of your posture at your work station, to guide you through a self-assessment, and give you suggestions to fix any issues you may find.
The best way to take this is to sit at your desk as you would while working and have a co-worker take a picture of you. This will keep you from guessing how you sit as you progress through the quiz and answer the questions.
If you are working from home, you can have someone at home take a picture of you while you are working.
Make sure these pictures are from a side view and include your monitor and from the top of your head to your feet.
But don't worry, if you do not have anyone to help you you can do your best to guess how your sitting posture is as you go through the test.
The course content for this is only quizzes. After completing a quiz you can review the answers again or if you want to move on click the next quiz in the top right hand corner of the page.
As you progress through the quizzes you might realize you have a lot of work to do to get into an acceptable, noninvasive posture. Don't worry, take little steps and gradually retrain yourself to change all of those bad habits you have picked up through life. It likely took you a while to get to that position and it may take you a while to get out of it. The important thing is to be mindful about your posture and how you interact with your work surroundings moving forward. Every little thing you do will help you reach your goal.
